“I discovered my rock side when I was dating a metal guitar player when I was in college, and after I went to see a heavy metal concert, I just felt the energy of it. My parents were extremely concerned for my sanity at first, but now they are OK with it. I try to balance my work with classical pieces, too,” Tina explains.
Her creations can be heard on several recent blockbuster films, TV, and video game scores, including Batman v Superman, Sherlock Holmes, Inception, CSI: NY, Vikings, Call of Duty: Black Ops II and III, Diablo III, Hearthstone, Journey, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, and many more. Therefore, it should come as a surprise that she is as popular and in demand as one of Hollywood’s top composers, Hans Zimmer.
Tina is an extremely versatile musician, and she has shared the stage with some of music’s biggest names, including The Foo Fighters, Stevie Wonder, Justin Bieber, Al Di Meola, Carlos Santana, Far East Movement, Ariana Grande, and Skrillex. Having performed to millions of people across the globe in sold-out venues, from Carnegie Hall to Wembley Arena, the artist is as comfortable in classical concert halls as giant rock arenas.
“When I make music, I am completely pure, naked, and open. I long for the moments when my outer shell no longer matters. I hunger for every genuine tear of sorrow, joy, or understanding shared. When you can hear me for who I am, and see me in a way that doesn’t involve looking at me, but rather looking through me, only then can I be satisfied,” Tina says.
Her success speaks for itself. Tina stretches the boundaries of cello, once again proving there are no limits when there is such passion within.
