Colt’s Lodge a leading destination in paradise

Open the gate of Colt’s Lodge, located at 1586 East Palm Canyon, and you will feel the tranquility of the exceptional hotel. Located in Palm Springs, it’s a beautiful place to rejuvenate. Park on Calle Rolph drive to see a magnificent stone gateway created by Roger Hopkins. The rock sculpture is one of the three pieces that are featured throughout the gardens. Jon Nelson, owner and internationally known designer of Colt’s Lodge, redesigned Colt’s Lodge with 3 lush gardens. Consisting of beauteous trees, a pond, the gardens should definitely be on your go-to list. The indigenous plants was a good election on Nelson’s part to compliment desert landscape.

The pool features a ceramic tile that glistens in the light, creating a perfect romantic setting at night. There is a “secret garden” tucked away behind a wall. The discreet garden provides privacy for those who choose to use the BBQ, enjoy the fire pit and a game of Bocce Ball.

The location is convenient for travelers landing at the Palm Springs International Airport. It is 7 minutes away from the gateway of Colt’s Lodge. Guests have been lodging at Colt’s Lodge since 1954, which was originally named Sunrise Villa, then renamed Alpine Gardens in 1999 to 2014. Jon Nelson redesigned the hotel as an upscale lodge with a gallery of 11 individually designed rooms. He conceived a small front porch with an overhang and alluring chairs that allow the guests to enjoy the starry lit skies of the desert. Only 1.5 miles away from downtown, guests can partake in the “free parking” garage as well as all the restaurants, museums, and shopping.

There are a variety rooms based on aesthetic themes. Named according to design, each theme has carefully selected art and furniture to offset the vaulted ceilings and ceramic tile floors.
