Dead Letter No. 9

Williamsburg, Brooklyn, is now home to a sensational new player in the nightlife and dining scene: Dead Letter No. 9. This groundbreaking venue, masterminded by the visionary team of ROLL THE BONES, officially opens its doors on November 16, 2023. It’s not just a venue; it’s an immersive conversation parlor where award-winning creativity meets full-menu dining and vibrant weekend nightlife.
Once a postal facility, Dead Letter No. 9 has been exquisitely transformed into a world of theatrical wonders. Designed to foster greater presence, listening, and empathy, the meticulously crafted sets are a tribute to tangible, real-world connections, artfully countering the digital age’s isolated loneliness.

Here, every corner tells a story, and every interaction is an opportunity for a new narrative. Guests embark on a 90-minute, self-guided journey through diverse storytelling environments. The adventure might take you to a porch in the Great Smokies, a camper in Joshua Tree, or a whimsical treehouse on the East Coast. With a performer in each setting guiding the conversation, small talk is replaced by meaningful, curious dialogues.
The experience extends to the dining room and cocktail lounge, where the menu – a delightful blend of nostalgia and avant-garde – awaits. Indulge in delectable dishes like N.C. Blister-Fried Peanuts and Vegan Chili with Yankee Cornbread, accompanied by updated classic cocktails with a contemporary twist. The culinary experience, curated by Josh Cohen and Mark Rancourt, promises a journey as intriguing as the venue itself.
As the evening progresses, Dead Letter No. 9 transforms into CARGO, a nightclub pulsating with energy. Curated by The Umbrella, known for their boundary-defying gatherings, CARGO offers an exhilarating blend of music, lights, and dancing, featuring guest DJs like Mike Servito and Ma Sha.

Behind this innovative concept are Taylor Myers and Michael Ryterband of ROLL THE BONES, along with a team of seasoned creators. With expertise spanning from “Sleep No More” to “Then She Fell,” this team has created an experience that is more than just a night out; it’s a journey into a world of imagination and connectivity.
Dead Letter No. 9 is more than a destination; it’s a revolution in how we experience nightlife. It’s a place where stories unfold, connections are made, and every visit is a unique adventure. As Co-Creator Michael Ryterband says, it’s “the future of nightlife.” So, are you ready to step into this extraordinary world and write your own story at Dead Letter No. 9?
