Mary Alice Malone, the very talented designer behind Malone Souliers, opens about her destiny to create. Malone Souliers is rapidly becoming a highly demanded custom made-to-order boutique style shoe company. Mary Alice started her journey growing up in Pennsylvania. A talented horse rider for the Junior Olympic Equestrian Tea, she then found that design construction was in her heart, and she moved on to art school. Through carpentry and furniture making she developed the eye for careful construction, which later translated into the tailored architecture and shapes we see in her shoes. Mary Alice and her Co-founder and fellow Managing Director, Roy Luwolt, are behind the label which speaks for itself.

 

Malone Souliers makes shoes that challenge convention. Inspired by the endless possibilities of the cordwainer’s craft, our products find new expression in artisanal techniques, driven by a love of form and a delight in unexpected detail.

 

We launched in 2014 with a collection of women’s shoes that quickly caught the attention of editors and buyers across the globe. Our signature ‘Maureen’, which debuted in 2015, was an instant hit, celebrated as much for its elegant curves and distinctive double-strap detailing as its flawless construction and innate wearability.

Since then, we’ve grown in many ways, expanding across the globe, launching new product lines, and creating innovative runway collections with world-renowned brands including Roksanda, Richard Malone and Deveaux. But throughout, we’ve remained committed to our craft foundations, working with the finest materials and most skilled Italian makers to produce shoes that feel as special as they look.

 

Today, we offer a range of shoes and accessories for women and men, with a focus on an elevated style, a perfect fit, and beautiful silhouettes that celebrate the shape of the foot. A certified member of the Leather Working Group, we design and manufacture with a zero-waste approach, continually exploring ways to reduce our impact on the environment.

We continue to be driven by the passion of our founder and creative director, Mary Alice Malone, whose background in psychology and hands-on approach to design brings emotion and integrity to everything we do.

Our footwear is crafted in Italy, using the finest quality materials and is hand finished by expert artisans.
