Who said it best: with a mad mash-up of swirly prints, rainbow colors and sexy shapes. Imagine the splashy, sun-drenched style of a 1960s Palm Beach socialite – and then take it up a notch or three.

Here comes the sunny season, and with it our favorite clothing – swimwear! I hope we get to spend June-September relaxin’ and maxin’ by the pool, so we’re taking a close look at our current bathing suit edit inspired by the Palm Springs Coachella vibe.

A strappy colorful one-piece paired with a Monclair sheer, white skirt is as chic as it gets for an ensemble by the pool. The ultimate sporty optimism and style, are matching sets by Fendi, they are colorful and glamorous as ever. The radiant denim-print one piece by Jonathan Simkai is fresh, summery and feminine. Camilla Hawaiian-tropic print two-piece teamed with a pretty beach playsuit is glorious and sexy. Dsquared2 fringe jacket is a definite statement along the sporty waterproof lines, using plastic-coated nylon is powerful, worn over a beautiful and feminine Proenza Schouler summer piece.

Summer wouldn’t be summer without a sea of florals and pretty knit dresses – and who knows best but Missoni, to decorate the body with their famous zig-zag prints. The sweetest textured seersucker pastels by Lisa Marie Fernandez are adorable high-rise briefs decorated with buttons, so feminine and almost like the grandma style, but with an ohhh, so new and uber-flattering silhouette. Compliment the pastels with matching white and blue accessories.

When it comes to the perfect summer dress – Pucci created a beautiful print, belted long kaftan-dress, which is the masterpiece of the season. Be the host at your villa and greet your guests with style and royal presence.

Floral is always the main choice for the summer print, but color blocking bikinis are as notable as a monochrome colorway. Swim designers opted for a lo-fi spectrum, making the multi-colored trend approachable, simple, and most importantly, chic.

Marni even made a statement with a dress-swimsuit as a retro skydiving kind-of 50’s look. Classically gendered cuts and fabrics is what we are wearing this season.

With sunny skies actually on the horizon, it’s time to pack your suitcase and get some sun.
